Watson the Persian is HILARIOUS!

See Watson wag his tongue - literally, and in a good way! This new rescue kitty to Orphan Animal Rescue is one of the sweetest little guys we've met. He is a beautiful orange and white Persian. He is available for adoption through OARS!

Toby Does Awesome at PetSmart!

What a BLAST! Toby was such a good boy for Jaime and me today at our PetSmart adoption event. We had so much fun playing with him, he was such a good sport. He met lots of people and even might get adopted as a result! We hope so!

Hi, I'm Toby.

I'm cute.

I love you I love you I love you!

They put a cowboy hat on me. I'm so embarassed.

Aunt Emily got me a stuffed dragon toy. I have no idea how his legs got chewed off! (note the stuffing in his mouth)

Those aren't the toy dragon's feet! I don't know what those are. I don't. I'm innocent.

A job well done. What do we do next? Do I get a new forever family?

Luigi making a speedy recovery

In my 10 years of animal welfare volunteer work, I've never seen a kitty chew open his neuter sutures...but Luigi, one of our Orphan Animal Rescue foster cats, did, only hours after his surgery! Silly boy. So he is now in foster care with me and has to wear a cone for 7 days while he recovers. Poor little guy, he is so outgoing and affectionate, all he wants to do is love you and be petted. I will keep him safe and sound until he's healed and ready for adoption. It's a lot of work; he needs medications every day and has to be fed out of my hand or while I hold a bowl under his chin, but it's completely worth it. He is such a great cat and will be a wonderful companion for someone very soon.

Pins for Paws was a Blast!

We had such a great time at our Orphan Animal Rescue fundraiser, Pins for Paws! Thanks to everyone who came out today to support homeless pets. What a great time!

Semi-Feral Kitty Shows LOVERBOY Side!

Jasper, the semi-feral kitty I adopted last week, has completely come out of his shell now that he is home with me! Semi-feral kitties mean that they had little human contact during their first weeks of life when they were babies. They take a lot more patience to own, as they are super shy. However, they can be WONDERFUL companions, as evidenced by my sweet baby boy! Once you get a shy kitty home and make him feel safe and loved, he will reward you with tons of loving and affection!
